Understanding the times and knowing what to do requires constant learning. We are always reading - books, blogs, webzines, the news and whatever catches our eyes. We regularly attend courses and seminars. We want to hear what other people are thinking and the insights they have.

We use the knowledge, wisdom and understanding we gain in all of the areas we work in.

We are also committed to training others. We’ve done this on an ad hoc basis since MKPL's early days. In 2001, we became more serious about this when Bill taught a four-week course at Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya - Story Telling in TV Production. Bill and Imbi taught the course again at Daystar in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006. We look forward to returning in 2008. (Check out some of the finished student productions here.) Since our 2001 course, we’ve also taught in the UK, the US and Canada.

Our most recent courses have been on Creativity and Reconnecting the Narrative - story telling in all areas of communication. We have been profoundly impacted by the teaching of Roy Williams and Wizard Academy and have incorporated a lot of what we’ve learned into our courses.
